Canada’s retail trade excluding vehicles fell 0.3 percent month-over-month in December following a downwardly revised 0.1 percent drop in the previous month. The figure came worse than market expectations of a 0.6 percent gain, reaching its lowest since a 0.6 percent drop in June of 2016. Retail Sales Ex Autos in Canada averaged 0.34 percent from 1991 until 2016, reaching an all time high of 3.30 percent in March of 1994 and a record low of -3.20 percent in April of 1994.
